A Story Of A Girl...
Care is a word with many faces,
Much like the many people in her life.
Sure there were a lot of people who cared about her,
But what about those people who gave up?
The ones who cared about her,
Were meant to be in her life.
And the ones who couldn’t have cared less,
They didn’t deserve someone like her.
Then there were those who did care,
At one point he really did gave a damn.
Every moment she spent with him,
It was blatantly obvious that there was something there.
There were tears from being open and vulnerable,
And true feelings being shared only to her.
Closeness in taking care of each other,
As well as being there for one another.
Talks of something more started between them,
And they both got scared.
Would it ruin their friendship?
Maybe it would be too weird.
She knew she loved him,
But she thought he was just kidding around.
So to spare her feelings from being hurt,
Every single time: she turned him down.
Time ticked by and he pulled away,
Started making trouble and even drove her away.
So away she went,
But she never stopped caring.
She realized she should try once more,
Not give up on something which was once so special.
But by then it was too late,
Because he was too far gone and had moved on.
Eventually she expressed her love,
But it was he who did not reciprocate.
She easily got over that,
But could not get over losing a friend.
So the happiness once inside of her has vanished,
Because it seems as though he stopped caring.
And she could never get over it,
No matter how much she tried not caring.
A Stranger's Sentiment,
